pregnancy & post-partum

Gentle, considered care throughout pregnancy, shaped around the rapid changes your body goes through as you move closer to birth

Pregnancy asks a great deal of you. Your posture, pelvis, breathing and hormones all shift, often faster than your body can comfortably adapt, and your nervous system is at the centre of it all. When it's supported and regulated, your body can adapt and adjust to these changes with greater ease.

Care is adapted at every stage, using specialised pregnancy pillows and low-force techniques, so you're always comfortable.

We give particular attention to the pelvis, low back, ribs and diaphragm as your body changes, combining gentle cranial, spinal and pelvic work to help reduce physical and neurological tension, so your body can better cope with the demands placed on it.

Many mothers come to us when things start to feel different: tighter, heavier, harder to get comfortable in. Others come earlier, simply wanting some extra support as their body changes or looking to feel more connected to themselves as they prepare for birth and motherhood.

Every stage is welcome here, from pre-conception, to early pregnancy, through to the days before birth and for as long as it takes afterwards.

post-partum

However your birth unfolded, your body has been through an enormous event. The post-partum period deserves the same care and attention as pregnancy itself.

The post-partum months ask a lot of a body: feeding, carrying, broken sleep, and less time than ever to rest and recover. Mums come to us at every point along the way, from the first few weeks through to years later.

You're welcome to bring your baby and children. There's space to feed, change and settle them, and nobody minds a bit of noise. Most mums like to book their little one's visit at the same time to save on travel, and we'll do our best to work around feeding and naps.

Children are on their own timeline, not ours. If your baby needs you halfway through your own visit, we'll always work it out, so please don't worry.
